It's Friday and I have a question...

Linda Davis is a member of the Ledyard Town Council and has lived in Ledyard for almost 40 years. She has lots of questions and welcomes participation with the goal of making Ledyard even better!

Yesterday on my Ledyard Facebook Page, I posted an announcement about the Paws and Claus event being held at Ledyard High School on December 3rd to raise donations for needy animals in the Ledyard area. Someone commented that “Unfortunately it's the same time as the LCS Holiday Night.”.

Ledyard is a very generous town. Besides holiday events to raise money, there are numerous food and toy drives held throughout November and December. Which leads to my question. Ok, so I have 3 questions.

Shouldn’t we have some coordinated calendar and registry of events so that all of us with good intentions can plan our participation? Could we serve those in need better if we weren't duplicating efforts? With a community calendar, do you think we could spread our good deeds throughout the year instead of just during the holidays?
