Would You Like to Be a Profiler for the BAU?
CBS' Criminal Minds brings back 2 fan favorites this fall.
If so then you should be watching CBS’ Criminal Minds. I absolutely love this show. I’ve been watching it from day one, and now come September it will be going into its 7th season.
Now as much as I love this show, it scares me to death! I cannot watch it alone; I always need someone home with me when I watch it. Thank God for DVRs! I need someone home because the show is so realistic. It’s based in Quantico, Virginia; the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) is a subsection of the FBI. The BAU uses the controversial scientific art of profiling to track and apprehend the unsub, which is short for unknown subject. So it’s not one of those programs where you say, oh that can’t really happen, that’s not how this show works.
The bad things happen to regular people that do not do anything out of the ordinary. So why do I watch this very scary, very real to life show? Well aside from its addicting plots, I think it has one of the best casts on television.

Joe Montagna, Thomas Gibson, Shemar Moore, Kristen Vangsness, Matthew Gray Gubler and now with the return of the shows two leading actress’ that were both let go; Paget Brewster and A.J. Cook respectively, this 7th season is sure to be very rewarding to its viewers.
In the middle of the show’s 6th season, Paget Brewster’s character Emily Prentiss is believed to be dead by some of her colleagues, however the audience and 2 members of the BAU know that she is really in hiding due to her double life she lived before joining the BAU, and A.J. Cook’s character J.J. Jareau left to work for the State Department.

With a new show runner, these two characters (and the actresses who have been portraying them) will be back full force in season 7. Yay! So if you are like me, and enjoy being scared to death, then catch up on some of the old episodes of Criminal Minds and you too can try and solve crimes of a serial and/or extremely violent nature where the perpetrator is unknown like I do, but don’t watch alone!
Until my next blog, have a great week!
