Car Drives Off Road Into Water, Gales Ferry Fire Dep't Assists
Emergency responders searched the area for anyone who might be in the water.
The Gales Ferry Volunteer Fire Company is assisting in the town of Preston for a report of a vehicle off the road and into water on Route 2A.
At 4 p.m. Wednesday, rescue members donned cold water suits and assisted Poquetanuck and Preston City firefighters with securing the vehicle and searching the area for victims, the fire company said. No one was located, and Connecticut State Police are currently investigating. The road is reopened at this time.
