Cops Investigating Report Of Man Trying To Lure Kids Into Car
Police altered schools and area police after a report that a man tried to lure two kids ages 8 and 9 into his car on Meeting House Lane.

LEDYARD, CT—A man in a gray or silver Honda tried to lure two young children into a car Saturday, it's reported police said. According to a report in The Day, Ledyard Police Chief John Rich said the man approached the children, ages 8 and 9, while he was driving and they were walking on Meeting House Lane. The children ran home after he told them to "get in the car," the paper quoted Rich as saying.
Patch attempted to reach Rich for additional comment and information Monday late afternoon unsuccessfully.
The Day reported Rich as saying the man was described as "having dark skin," with salt-and-pepper hair and wearing a black jacket.
