Council Chairman Sullivan Nominated For Obama Administration Position

Sean Sullivan, chairman of the , has been nominated for a position in the Obama Administration, The Bulletin is reporting.

The article says that the Republican is a candidate based on his 26 years with the Navy, notably his experience with the nuclear submarines.

The position is on the Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board, which is made up of five people, the Bulletin reports.

According to the article, Sullivan will leave his position on the town council if he is selected for the Obama Administration post.

In order for that to happen, Sullivan's appointment must be OK'd by the U.S. Senate and the Armed Services Committee, the article says.
