Erwin the Dog Needs a Home

Ledyard Animal Control is seeking assistance from a rescue operation in the area, for Erwin the dog, also known as Ripley.

The following information is from the Ledyard Animal Control Facebook page:

Any rescues in the area willing to help?? Ok. Erwin is a 1-year-old neutered Dutch Shep Mix that is looking for special home. A little about the boy. He was signed over by a large family that didn’t give him the training he needed early in life.

He came to LAC and was adopted by a great family. Unfortunately, Erwin has some aggression issues. The family gave it their best shot, but after three weeks they decided he needed more.

He is stubborn and would do best in a single adult, strong male-only home. Erwin attached to the father quickly and was excellent with him, but he didn’t like the females in the home and he showed it. Erwin is being treated for Lyme Disease. He will make a great companion for the right person. Please get the word out about this guy!
