Father of 5 Found Dead in Ledyard Ditch Killed Over Drug Money, Affidavit Says

The suspects had previously plead not guilty to felony murder in regards to the incident.

LEDYARD, CT - An affidavit said two men charged with killing a father of five more than a decade ago did so over drug money, the Norwich Bulletin reported.

Christopher Vincenti and Timothy Johnson, both 32, have been charged in the January 2006 murder of Anthony Hamlin, according to the Norwich Bulletin. Groton resident Hamlin’s body was found in a Ledyard field, dead from blunt force trauma to the head.

The suspects had previously plead not guilty to felony murder in regards to the incident, the Norwich Bulletin reported. An unsealed arrest warrant said the men were charged with beating Hamlin with a piece of wood and taking $100 from his wallet.
