Foxwoods Casino Fight Remains Under Investigation: Report

LEDYARD, CT — A New Year's Day fight at Foxwoods Resort Casino that left three injured remains under investigation as arrests in connection with the incident pile up, reports The Day.

Three people suffered stab wounds in the fracas, which occurred just after 1 a.m. in the Fox Tower Garage and inside the casino. Two of the victims suffered minor injuries, and suffered serious injuries which required hospitalization to treat.

A total of five people have been arrested by Mashantucket Tribal Police as of Jan. 4, but more arrests are expected.

Charged with breach of peace were:

• Ronald Whitfield Jr., 26, of Groton
• Dante E. Johnson, 21, of New London
• Yaseen Dalil Dannett, 19, of New London
• Elijah Clinton Rivera, 20, of New London
• Kwane R. Baines, 21, of Norwich

Dannett, Rivera and Baines were additionally charged with interfering with an officer.
