Foxwoods CEO's Cause of Death Released: UPDATE
The state medical examiner's office has determined Foxwoods Resort Casino CEO's cause of death.

MASHANTUCKET, CT β The state medical examinerβs office has determined Foxwoods Resort Casino President and CEO Felix Rappaport, 65, died of "natural causes," according to media reports.
According to the Hartford Courant, Foxwoods officials said Rappaport succumbed to heart disease Monday in a suite at the resort, where he lived while he was in Connecticut.
Rappaport's passing was announced Monday by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation (MPTN) and Foxwoods officials, News 8 reported. He had served as Foxwoods' leader for over four years before his passing.

According to News 8, Rappaport held numerous positions in the hospitality, gaming and entertainment industries prior to his role at Foxwoods, including with Treasure Island and Hershey Entertainment and Resort Company.

The New London Day reported Tuesday that NBA legend and motivational speaker Earvin βMagicβ Johnson spoke in the Fox Theater the day after Rappaport's passing. During his talk, Johnson acknowledged that it was a "tough time" and ended by asking the audience to take a moment and remember Rappaport.
