Foxwoods Unveils June Entertainment Slate

A mind-bending illusionist and a country legend are set to light up Foxwoods in June.

MASHANTUCKET, CT – Things are heating up this summer at Foxwoods Resort Casino, your go-to destination for award-winning entertainment.

Next month, prepare to be amazed when master illusionist Criss Angel returns to Foxwoods for eight exclusive, perspective-twisting performances of Mindfreak Live!, the only shows taking place outside of the Las Vegas run in 2018, according to a release.

Guests can also put on their cowboy boots to get into the spirit as legendary country music star Reba McEntire fills the Grand Theater with her powerful vocals.

Finally, be sure to take advantage of the hot summer days with a private cabana or daybed while cooling off poolside at Foxwoods’ Liquid Sundays, the Northeast’s only Vegas-style pool party!

Katt Williams

WHEN: June 1, 8 p.m.

WHERE: Grand Theater

  • Stand-up comedian, world-renowned actor and rapper Katt Williams is prepared to deliver an entertaining show featuring a laughter-inducing reflection of the American political landscape. His sharp, witty dialogue will hit all hot topics including politics, race relations and more. Tickets are $38, $60 and $79.

Stafford Brothers

WHEN: June 2, 9 p.m.

WHERE: SHRINE

  • Stafford Brothers are the hottest Australian DJ and production team to hit the US electronic party scene in recent years. Since relocating to Los Angeles from the land down under, brothers Matt and Chris Stafford have collaborated with titans of industry, sold millions of records, and now host headline club nights in the party capitals of the world. CES Boxing Presents The Future of Boxing

WHEN: June 2, 6 p.m.

WHERE: Fox Theater

  • CES Boxing presents “The Future of Boxing,” a can’t-miss display of amateur and professional boxing matches at Foxwoods Resort Casino. Take a front row seat to witness the live championship unfold. Tickets are $37, $47, $77 and $157.

Tritonal

WHEN: June 5, 9 p.m.

WHERE: SHRINE

  • At the top of 2016, Tritonal’s Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed released the long-awaited single “Blackout” featuring Steph Jones’ delicate vocals and a pop twist on the duo’s melodic sound. Its impressive success is the latest in a series of milestones for the Austin, Texas songwriters and producers. Tickets are $15.

World Fighting Championships 89

WHEN: June 9, 7 p.m.

WHERE: Fox Theater

  • World Fighting Championships and Foxwoods Resort Casino present WFC 88 Live Cage Fights, an exhilarating show featuring local Hartford sweetheart Jessy Miele pitted against former UFC star Elizabeth Phillips. Next to enter the cage is a highly anticipated battle between two major heavyweights Keith Bell and Connecticut’s own, Parker Porter. Guests won’t want to miss this ultimate showdown of strength. Wheel of Fortune Contestant Auditions

WHEN: June 9 and June 10, 1 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.

  • Have you ever wanted to spin the Wheel of Fortune? You’re in luck as Foxwoods is hosting three Wheel of Fortune shows each day June 9 and June 10. Everyone who attends the event will be able to submit an application, and participants will be selected to come to the stage and audition via a random draw. Contestants must be at least 18 years of age. This event is free.

Yellow Claw

WHEN: June 12, 9 p.m.

WHERE: SHRINE

  • This Dutch DJ and record production duo entered the music scene in 2010 and have since earned accolades such as the #1 spot on Billboard’s Heat Seekers Chart in 2015 and a prestigious Edison Award for their unique mix of genres incorporating elements from trap, hip hop, dubstep and house music. Yellow Claw’s hypnotic sound is guaranteed to set the dance floor at SHRINE ablaze. Tickets are $15.

Deon Cole

WHEN: June 15, 8 p.m.

WHERE: Fox Theater

  • Two-time Emmy award-nominated actor and comedian Deon Cole comes to Foxwoods to delight audiences with his hilarious comedic routine. In addition to his role on the wildly popular TV series Black-ish and appearances on shows including "Benched," "Wild N’ Out" and "Conan," Deon was seen as Dante in all three movies in the "Barbershop" feature film franchise. Tickets are $26.

A Night of Funk & Soul: with Kool & The Gang, Morris Day & The Time, Cameo

WHEN: June 15, 8 p.m.

WHERE: Grand Theater

  • Revered funk-pop group Kool & The Gang has sold more than 70 million albums worldwide thanks to their timeless hits including “Ladies Night” and “Celebration.” Along with the dynamic vocals of Morris Day & The Time and R&B chart-topper Cameo, the audience is sure to enjoy all the classic funky hits. Cheat Codes

WHEN: June 16, 9 p.m.

WHERE: SHRINE

  • Cheat Codes is an American electronic music DJ trio consisting of Trevor Dahl, Kevin Ford, and Matthew Russell based in Los Angeles. The group has multiple gold and platinum records around the word with Feels Great, Sex, No Promises, Shed a Light and Pretty Girl and have accumulated over 2 billion streams on Spotify. Aaron Lewis

WHEN: June 16, 8 p.m.

WHERE: Grand Theater

  • GRAMMY award-nominated, multi-platinum singer, songwriter and guitarist Aaron Lewis tells one story after another on his latest album, The Road. Echoing traditional country, some of those tales are hilarious and heartwarming while others are pensive and personal, but all are sure to please true country music fans. Tickets are $49 and $69.

Bob Marley

  • Celebrating 16 years as a stand-up comic, Bob Marley is one of the hottest and most sought-after comedians in the country. Cedric Gervais

  • Renowned house DJ and electronic mix producer Cedric Gervais is a GRAMMY award-winner for Best Remix in 2013 for his version of Lana Del Rey’s “Summertime Sadness.” With several multi-platinum singles and chart-topping remixes under his belt, Gervais is prepared to ignite the dance floor at SHRINE with an electric set. DJ Vice

WHEN: June 23, 9 p.m.

  • An LA native, Vice is well known across the club circuit as he currently holds residences across the US in Vegas, New York and Miami. Joel McHale

WHEN: June 23, 7 p.m.

WHERE: Fox Theater

  • Joel McHale is best known for his starring role as Jeff Winger on the hit comedy series Community on NBC. His laugh-out-loud routines are often characterized by satirizing pop culture and current events, and he is prepared to keep his audience breathless with laughter. Tickets are $36 and $46.

Breathe Carolina

WHEN: June 26, 9 p.m.

WHERE: SHRINE

  • Breathe Carolina first garnered attention with their dance debut “Anywhere But Home.” The electronic duo composed of David Schmitt and Tommy Cooperman continue to release popular tracks including “Blackout,” “Savages” and “Hit and Run.” Tickets are $15.

Mindfreak Live! Starring Criss Angel

ComiCONN 2018

WHEN: June 30 through July 1, 10 a.m.

  • Altered Reality Entertainment presents ComiCONN “A Show for the Fans by the Fans!” The event will include all the same aspects fans have come to expect from a comic con including celebrity appearances by Julie Benz of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dexer, Robert Englund of A Nightmare on Elmstreet and Ross Marquand of The Walking Deadand the Avengers series. Guests will also be able to mingle with industry-leading comic book artists and the top vendors in the market, as well as participate in the always popular cosplay competitions and events.
