HARTFORD — State Representative Mike France (R-42) was sworn in today as State Representative for the 42nd General Assembly District covering Ledyard, Preston and Montville.

Rep. France was among 19 Republican freshmen who were elected to serve their districts for the next two years. Rep. France stated that he is committed to restoring Common Sense principles to state government, including fiscal accountability and balancing the state budget without raising taxes or borrowing to pay current expenses. In addition, he stated that the state needs to reduce the regulatory and tax burden on small business to promote job growth, especially in southeastern Connecticut.

“I am honored with the trust the voters have placed in me to be their State Representative,” Rep. France said. “I look forward to the opportunity to serve the residents of Ledyard, Preston and Montville in the 42nd District.”
