Health Officials: Elevated Bacteria At Highland Park Beach

LEDYARD, CT—After testing Monday and again Wednesday by Ledge Light Health District, the beach at Highland Park has tested as having elevated bacterial counts.

Last week's swimming closure of Giants Neck Heights (jetty) in East Lyme has been lifted.

As it often does, Ledge Light says rain and storm water runoff can affect the bacteria samples.
