Julia Cronin Selected For Science Fellowship
The Ledyard resident is a seventh- and eighth-grade science teacher at the Integrated Day Charter School in Norwich

Julia Cronin of Ledyard is one of three teachers from Connecticut selected for a fellowship for National Science Teachers Association for new science teachers, The Day reported.
According to the article, Cronin brings lots of hands-on activities to the classroom, which her 17 years of experience at surely help with.

"One of the most important things I try to do as a teacher is make the science we're learning relevant and I don't want my kids leaving my classroom saying 'Why do we need to know this?'" Cronin said in the article.
"It's about the importance of hands-on activities and being about to do the science we're talking about, I'm not afraid for the kids to get their hands dirty."
