Ledyard Board of Education Chairwoman Ousted, Elects New Chairman

The board cited performance and ongoing communication issues.

LEDYARD, CT – The Board of Education voted Wednesday to oust the current chairwoman and elect a new one, The Day reported.

The board removed Mimi Peck-Llewellyn from her position as Chairwoman, citing ongoing communication and performance issues, according to The Day. Anthony Favry was elected as the board’s new chairman.

Favry currently serves as chairman of the policy committee, The Day reported. The board said the former chairwoman could not lead them into working as a cohesive unit, while Peck-Llewellyn said it was clear from the board’s statements that she could not get their respect.
