Ledyard Election 2016 Results: Winners Revealed in Local Races

LEDYARD, CT — Results are coming in for a number of electoral races across the board in Ledyard, both on a local and national scale.

On the ballot, registered voters in Ledyard were able to select candidates for president and vice president, United States senator, representatives to U.S. Congress, state senator, state representative and registrar of voters.

In the 40th State House District, Democrat Christine Conley defeated Republican incumbent John F. Scott, as reported by The Day. Conley, an attorney with Lori M. Comforti and member of Groton's Representative Town Meeting, has advocated looking at ways the state could pay for services more economically.

In Ledyard, incumbent Democratic candidate Catherine Osten beat out Republican candidate Barbara Richardson Crouch in the race for the 19th Senatorial District, as reported by The Day.

In the 42nd State House District, Republican candidate Mike France ran unopposed.
