Ledyard, Gales Ferry Firefighters Save Christo's Pizza From Fire
The fire was extinguished during the early morning hours of Friday, Oct. 3.

Post from Ledyard Fire Company District #1 (Approximately 4 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3):
The Ledyard and Gales Ferry Fire Companies are on scene at Christo’s Pizza, Gallup Hill Road, for what initially came in as a fire alarm activation. LPD arrived and reported an active fire. FD units arrived shortly afterwards and had to force entry into the business. Quick actions of responders extinguished the fire and saved the business. Units remain on scene.

At approximately 0221 hours, Gales Ferry Engine 21 was dispatched automatic aid to Ledyard Center for a commercial fire alarm at Christo’s Pizza. Arriving Ledyard police officers discovered an active fire and a working fire assignment was subsequently dispatched. Thanks to a quick arrival by first due units, the fire was able to be contained quickly. The Ledyard Fire Marshal’s office is investigating.
