Ledyard Forms Committee to Reexamine Town Budget
The committee has been formed in response to state cuts and other mandates.
Town Council voted Wednesday to form a committee that will reevaluate and examine the town’s budget, The Day reported.
The committee will review funding for each town service and determine whether it is efficient, according to The Day. They will also address staffing concerns in various building operations.
Recommendations will be made by the committee to council by Oct. 12, The Day reported. They will choose officers and develop schedules at their first meeting on Thursday, June 16, which will also be their first meeting.
