Ledyard Girls' Cross-Country Beats NFA, Loses to Griswold in Tri-Meet
The girls are back in action Saturday at the Windham Invitational.

Tuesday at Mohegan Park in Norwich, the Ledyard girls' cross-country team defeated NFA 27 to 30 (low score wins) behind the top performances of sophomore Megan Brawner in 3rd place, senior Julia Driscoll in 4th, senior Jordan Houdeshell in 7th, Sophomore Carina Mitchell in 11th and Sophomore Olivia Lyon in 18th to score their first win of the season in the ECC Large Division.
Griswold finished 1st and 2nd behind Alyssa Brehler and Meagan Perez. They lost to NFA but beat Ledyard. All three teams defeated Tourtellotte.
The win by Ledyard over NFA marks the first time since 1989 that the girls' team has beaten NFA. The team will be competing at the Windham Invitational on Saturday.
