Ledyard Has a New Town Clerk

Michael Curley is Sworn In Tuesday, succeeding Cal Brouwer.

Michael Curley, a retired Navy research psychologist who has been active as a leader on the Republican Town Committee, was sworn in as Town Clerk Tuesday. He succeeds Cal Brouwer, who retired on Dec. 31.

Curley officially retired from the Navy in 2003. He has since held research positions at Duke University and at Buffalo School of Medicine, in addition to consulting for the Navy. In town, he has served on the Charter Revision Commission and has been both secretary and treasurer of the RTC, as well as elections moderator.

Curley served as campaign treasurer for Mayor John Rodolico during his run for the state House of Representatives in 2010. He said he first discussed with Rodolico the possibility of serving as town clerk in late November.
