Ledyard High School Closed Friday Due To Threat: Reports

The school was closed Friday due to a "credible threat." Everyone is safe.

LEDYARD, CT — Ledyard High School is closed Friday, according to WFSB 3-TV.

The school is closed due to a "credible threat," NBC CT reported.

Everyone is safe. Police are at the scene. The building is locked down and all buses were routed away from the campus, according to NBC CT.

Officials notified parents of the closure Friday morning. All other district schools are operating on a previously scheduled early release. Buses may be running 5 to 10 minutes late, WFSB 3-TV reported.

Woodstock Middle School is also in a shelter in place Friday morning due to "a situation at Woodstock Academy," according to the school's Facebook page. It's unclear if the incidents are related.
