Ledyard Man Arrested on Attempted Burglary Charges: Police

LEDYARD, CT - Police said they arrested a Ledyard man Wednesday after he allegedly attempted to burglarize a home, The Day reported.

Officers arrested the suspect Thomas Coady, 36, after receiving reports of an attempted burglary near Spicer Hill Road, according to The Day. Homeowners said they realized someone was attempting to break in after hearing a knock on the door.

K-9 units tracked Coady through the woods and found him sitting in his vehicle, as well as locating burglary tools in his backpack, The Day reported. Police are still investigating the situation.
