Ledyard Man Charged in Mystic Beating for Gun Threat: Police
A suspect has been arrested after a lengthy police investigation into an incident from November.
MYSTIC, CT – Police have charged a Ledyard man for threatening a Hyatt Place hotel employee with a handgunbefore another man beat him with a bat, The Day reported.
Jonathan Mays, 27, was charged Tuesday after a lengthy police investigation that dates back to November of last year, according to The Day. The employee was allegedly threatened by Mays with a gun before another man beat him in the head with a bat, causing a large laceration.
The employee identified the man who beat him as Jonathan Valladares, 26, of Groton, who was immediately charged following the incident, The Day reported. Mays is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 1.
