Ledyard Man Charged In Wrong-Way Crash: Police

A man is facing charges that he drove the wrong way on I-395 and caused a crash.

LEDYARD, CT — A Ledyard man is facing charges following a wrong-way crash on I-395 north in Lisbon, according to state police. Nathan Tomlin, 21, was charged with evading responsibility, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, and driving the wrong-way on a divided highway.

Police received a call Sunday at 12:45 a.m. reporting a wrong-way driver. Troopers located the vehicle parked the wrong way in the area of exit 19.

Police determined the car had been in a crash with another car and fled the scene of the wreck. Tomlin then failed field sobriety tests, according to police.

No one was injured in the wreck.

Tomlin was issued a $1,000 bond and will appear in Norwich Superior Court on July 26.
