Ledyard Police Arrest 2 Men After One Drives Other off Road Over Cell Phone

Police said a man intentionally hit another man's truck off the road, then physically fought over a cell phone.

LEDYARD, CT – Police said they arrested two men in Ledyard this weekend after one intentionally ran the other off the road over a cell phone, Fox 61 reported.

Nicholas Summers, 29, allegedly hit his Acura into Benjamin Beaudoin’s, 33, Dodge truck while driving early Saturday morning on Route 12, according to Fox 61. Beaudoin attempted to get back on the road after the impact, but was hit again by Summers.

The two then engaged in a physical fight over a cell phone after stopping their cars, Fox 61 reported. Both men, who police learned knew each other and had previously gotten into an altercation at a bar, were arrested for driving under the influence among other charges.
