Ledyard Police Arrest Three Teens for Partying and Illegal Camping
Residents had previously complained of loud partying and unattended campfires nearby.
LEDYARD, CT- Police arrested three young teenagers Saturday who set up camp and were partying near Highland Lake on town-owned property, The Day reported.
All three teens, aged 14, 15 and 16, were charged for trespassing while the 15-year-old was charged for driving without a license, according to The Day. They are scheduled to appear in juvenile court on July 1.
Police had investigated the area after a resident complained that people had been partying, littering and leaving campfires unattended in the area, as reported by The Day. Police found an unattended campfire that evening and linked it to the three teens.
