Ledyard Police Investigating 'Suspicious Activity'

Three incidences were reported to police over the weekend. Anyone with information is asked to call police.

The Ledyard Police Department is investigating several incidents that took place over the August 8-10 weekend and early Monday morning.

Aljen Heights: On Monday morning at approximately 2:12 a.m., Ledyard police received a report of someone attempting to enter a home on Laurel Avenue.

“As a resident made noise, the individual(s) reportedly fled,” police said. “It appears that nothing was taken. A K9 track was conducted after the incident which did not locate a suspect.”

Highlands: Spray paint damage to a vehicle on the upper portion of Meetinghouse and at the Gallup Hill School was found. In both instances, letters and/or numbers were painted, police said.

Christy Hill Road : Saturday morning at approximately 3:10 a.m., a resident of Ramblewood observed an individual with a flashlight outside. Upon the arrival of police, the person fled. A K9 track led to Route 214 at Avery Hill Road. No evidence exists that thefts occurred, according to police.
