Ledyard Police Report Arrest Of Alleged Drunk, Speeding Driver
Ledyard Police say they arrested an allegedly drunk and speeding driver near Foxwoods in the pre-dawn hours Tuesday.
LEDYARD, CT—During a routine patrol in the area of Route 2 near the Foxwoods Casino just before 2 a.m., Tuesday, Ledyard Police saw a car traveling at 70 MPH in a posted 50 MPH zone, according to police a press release. Stopped on Route 2 near the Preston Town Line, police say the driver was intoxicated.
The operator, identified as Sara Buzor, 26, of Norwich, was arrested without incident, transported to the Ledyard Police Department and charged with speeding and driving while intoxicated, according to a police statement.
Buzor was released on a $500 non-surety bond, police said, and is due in New London Superior Court July 9.
