Ledyard Schools Superintendent Makes Decision on Future

LEDYARD, CT - Schools Superintendent Cathy Patterson, who has held the position since 2014, will retire at the end of the school year, she announced this month.

She has held numerous positions in the Ledyard School System for 28 years, and is retiring to spend more time with her family, reports The Day. Patterson was promoted to the position following the resignation of Dr. Michael H. Graner, who took the same post in Groton.

The Ledyard Board of Education has begun a search for Patterson's replacement but has not yet decided whether it will hire an outside consultant for additional help.
