Ledyard, Will You Take the Turkey Challenge?
If you are looking to give back to your community, the Turkey Challenge might be the perfect opportunity for you.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to help the Gemma E. Moran United Way Labor Food Center fill a truck with frozen turkeys.
The goal is 3,500 frozen turkeys that will go to southeastern Connecticut families over the holidays.
A truck will be parked at the Groton Municipal Building, 295 Meridian St., from 7:30 a.m. to noon Friday, Nov. 7, collecting donations. All are invited to donate.
