Ledyard Woman Allegedly Assaults EMT in Daring Escape

She is suspected of punching an EMT, evading hospital security and more.

LEDYARD, CT- A woman is accused of punching an emergency medical technician Tuesday and escaping from Lawrence + Memorial Hospital security, The Day reported.

Heather Kelley, 39, was originally cited for noise complaints and supposedly acting heavily intoxicated and violent towards her mother, The Day reported. She began also acting violent towards police after being arrested before they decided she needed medical attention.

Kelley then allegedly punched the EMT on board the ambulance she was riding in, according to The Day. After escaping from the hospital and evading security, Ledyard Police pursued on foot and eventually apprehended her again with assistance from New London Police.
