Leyard Officers, School Administrators Learn School and Workplace Safety
Police and school officials recently underwent a two-day workplace and school violence workshop.

LEDYARD, CT – The National Tactical Officers Association held a school and workplace violence workshop Thursday at the Ledyard High School library Thursday, The Day reported.
In attendance were Ledyard police officers, as well as officers from other Connecticut towns and as far away as New Mexico, The Day reported. Ledyard school administrators were also present, including principals and the outgoing superintendent.
Parts of the two-day workshop focused on what went wrong in past famous acts of violence, according to The Day. The group also learned techniques victims can use to protect themselves while waiting for police response.
