How to begin to describe the beautiful soul housed in this fur package with mere words? Unconditional love pours from this happy cat! The sheer joy he has in being alive and having the chance to share his love is contagious. Any memories of a bad day or depressed mood evaporate in his sunny presence. He is comfort food in feline form and this deliciously SUPER sweet boy is calling your name!!

Liness is a best friend waiting to happen. This cat craves a human to bond with. He follows you around, tapping your leg gently with his paw for attention, and when you pick him up, he wraps his front legs around your neck in a thankful hug. Honestly, those of us involved in animal rescue have many, many animals pass through our lives and some leave more of an impression than others. Some cats just reach out and touch you with their sweet, innocent souls, and Liness is one of those special beings. Whoever ends up sharing Liness’s life will wonder how they ever existed without this cat!!

Liness is FIV+ and a lesson in kindness and acceptance. FIV is a cat-only disease and cannot be spread to humans or other non-felines. It is a slow virus that affects a cat’s immune system over a period of years and most FIV+ cats live long, healthy, normal lives with few or no symptoms. A neutered cat in a home is extremely unlikely to infect other cats, if properly introduced. The virus can be spread through blood transfusions, badly infected gums or serious, penetrating bite wounds. FIV+ cats should be kept as healthy as possible by keeping them indoors and feeding a high-quality diet. Here is an informative article about FIV in cats: http://www.v63.net/catsanctuary/vet_question.html

Liness has many, many years of love to share and he would be so grateful to be accepted and adored for who he is, FIV and all. What a great lesson to teach children - that we all deserve love and kindness, despite whatever hard knocks life has thrown our way!

Won’t you consider opening your heart and home to this beautiful creature who is overflowing with unconditional love?
