Longtime Ledyard Councilor Dies At 71: Report
Linda C. Davis, sometimes referred to as "Mother Ledyard," has died.
LEDYARD, CT — Linda C. Davis, a longtime Republican town councilor sometimes referred to as "Mother Ledyard," died Sunday morning, The New London Day reported. She was 71.
Davis had been chair of the council since 2012 and was reelected to a ninth term last month. She died following a battle with cancer.
Davis volunteered for more than four decades on various town boards and commissions and was known for her dedication to the Ledyard Food Pantry.
