Major Chain To Open Location As Foxwoods Adds Dining Options
A chain will open at the casino's attached mall while another establishment is charting a comeback and two more are in the works.
MASHANTUCKET, CT — Popeyes is expected to open in early 2027 at Tanger at Foxwoods.
The restaurant will open at the mall next to Panda Express and near H&M, according to Tanger at Foxwoods management.
The popular spicy fried chicken chain was founded in 1972 in New Orleans. The brand now has more than 3,400 locations worldwide and dozens in Connecticut.

In other Foxwoods news, David Burke Prime Steakhouse has been closed since a fire broke out at the restaurant last year. The Connecticut Scoop reported that the restaurant looks to be nearing its reopening. The establishment is also hiring a general manager.
However, a Foxwoods representative could not confirm that the restaurant will be reopening soon.

Other eateries in the works at Foxwoods include Sally's Apizza and Yamashiro. Both of those restaurants are under construction, according to The Connecticut Scoop.
Sally's will be opening its new shop in the former California Pizza Kitchen space in the Great Cedar Casino.
Yamashiro, a Japanese restaurant with a rich Hollywood history, will open in the Fox Tower at the former home of Red Lantern and Shrine.
