Man Charged In 2018 Ledyard Burglary: Police

A man being held in a Massachusetts prison has been charged in connection with a 2018 burglary in Ledyard.

LEDYARD, CT — A man has been charged in connection with a burglary that occurred in Ledyard in 2018. Victor Vainbrum, 31, of Carver, Massachusetts, was being held at the Plymouth House of Corrections in Massachusetts on an unrelated criminal charge.

Last week, he was extradited from Massachusetts on a felony warrant stemming from a burglary investigation at a Ledyard home in April 2018. Vainbrum’s DNA profile matched evidence collected at the crime scene, according to police.

He was charged with third-degree burglary, fifth-degree larceny, and third-degree criminal mischief.

Vainbrum was held on $25,000 surety bond and was scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court Friday.
