Man Charged in Church Collection Box Theft: Ledyard Police
While the box was valued at approximately $500, police said the contents of the box were less than $2.
NEW LONDON, CT - A Ledyard man is facing charges in connection to a church collection box theft that occurred last year, the Westerly Sun reported.
Marc G. Dickau was arraigned Wednesday on larceny and burglary charges, according to the Westerly Sun. The suspect allegedly took a wooden church box on September 12 from inside the St. Edmund’s Church on Enders Island.
Police said the box was valued at approximately $500, the Westerly Sun reported. The contents of the box, however, were less than $2 in cash.
