Man Charged With DWI After Crash: Ledyard Police
The man is accused of operating under the influence after police found an overturned vehicle that crashed in Ledyard, officials said.
LEDYARD, CT — A Rhode Island man was charged with DWI after crashing early Wednesday morning in Ledyard, according to police.
The one-vehicle crash happened around 1:45 a.m. on Indiantown Road near the intersection of Elizabeth George Drive, according to police.
Police said the driver of a 2022 Toyota Sienna was traveling eastbound on Indiantown Road when the vehicle left the travel portion of the roadway, struck a curb, tree, and then overturned.

The driver, identified as Jacob A. Wolfgang, wasn’t injured and was found to be intoxicated, according to police.
Wolfgang, 37, was arrested and charged with DWI and failure to drive right. He was released after posting a $500 bond with a court date of June 23.
