Man Charged In Ledyard DUI Crash: Police
A man was charged in connection with a DUI crash in February, according to police.
LEDYARD, CT — A man was arrested in a connection with a DUI crash in Ledyard, according to police. Jordan LaPlace, 31, of Norwich, was stopped by Groton Town police at 2:01 a.m. Thursday in an unrelated incident.
Police found he had a warrant held by Ledyard police. LaPlace was turned over to Ledyard police and charged in connection with a Feb. 2 crash.
The warrant alleges that LaPlace was driving on Shewville Road when he crashed into a stone wall, according to police. He showed signs of drug intoxication and was also in possession of drug packaging materials and a samurai sword in the vehicle.

He was charged with illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, second offense DUI, drug paraphernalia, and failure to drive right.
He was held on $10,000 bond and scheduled to appear in New London Superior Court on Thursday.
