Man Strikes Guardrail, Charged With DUI: Ledyard Police

Police said a Ledyard man was charged with driving under the influence​ after striking a guard rail in Montville.

LEDYARD, CT - Police said a Ledyard man was charged with driving under the influence after striking a guard rail in Montville, as reported by the Norwich Bulletin. The suspect had been traveling southbound on Route 12 in Gales Ferry.

A witness told officers the driver had struck several guardrails but continued driving, and was unable to stay in his lane as he traveled into Montville, the Norwich Bulletin reported. Police said officers arrested the suspect, Terrence McAuliffe, at his home on charges of driving under the influence.
