Man Wanted For Ledyard Murder Arrested In Georgia: U.S. Marshals

A man has been charged with murder after his arrest in Georgia.

LEDYARD, CT — A man wanted in connection with a Ledyard homicide has been arrested in Georgia, according to a statement from the U.S. Marshals Service. Steward Holeman, 34, was charged with murder and criminal possession of a pistol.

Holeman was wanted in connection with a murder Nov. 2 on Robin Lane in Ledyard. He was taken into custody Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. by the U.S. Marshals South East Regional Task Force in Jonesboro, GA.

Ledyard police requested help on the case from the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive Task Force in November. Police and marshals worked closely together to find and apprehend Holeman in Georgia, according to the statement.

Holeman is being held at the Clayton County Sheriff office in Jonesboro. He is being charged as a fugitive from justice and is pending extradition to Connecticut.

Holeman is accused of shooting 27-year-old Malik Nunn of Ledyard in the head, FOX 61 reported. The shooting occurred following an argument between Holeman and Nunn.
