LEDYARD, CT—Police said they stopped Jason L. Plowden for speeding Sunday afternoon on Shewville Road. Turns out Plowden, 34, of 9 Joseph Williams in Mashantucket had three active warrants for violating probation and failure to appear in court.

Plowden was charged with two counts of violation of probation and failure to appear. Plowden was held on three cash/surety bonds totaling $105,000.

In 2010, he was charged by Ledyard Police with second-degree breach of peace and second-degree failure to appear in court. In 2009, he was arrested by Ledayrd police for violating probation. It appears based on court records that one charge from the Aug. 25 arrest is related to that original case from years ago.
