Motorcyclist Leads Police On Chase Through Ledyard: PD
Police said the accused went 87 mph in a 35 mph zone, then refused to pull over for officers.

LEDYARD, CT — Police said a Preston woman is accused of leading officers on a chase through Ledyard after going more than 80 mph in a 35 mph zone on a motorcycle.
According to a news release, police said officers saw Caitlin M. Brown, 26, traveling northbound at 87 mph on Route 12 near the intersection of Chapman Lane. Police said officers attempted to stop the vehicle, however the accused increased her speed and pulled away from officers.
Police said the accused was subsequently seen traveling eastbound on Route 2A at approximately 1:26 a.m. and again refused to pull over, passing vehicles in a no passing zone, turning on to Route 2 and traveling at a high rate of speed.

According to police, the accused stopped at the intersection of Route 2 and Route 164, where she was taken into custody without incident. She was charged with reckless driving and engaging an officer in pursuit, police said.
