Obituary: Eugenio Perez, 84, Of New London

Eugenio Perez, 84, of New London passed away January 10, 2018 at the home of his daughter in Norwich. He was born on Nov. 24, 1933 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico the son of the late Francisco and Flora Nieves Perez; and had been married to the late Esthervina Olivero.

For many years, Eugenio had worked as a self- employed truck driver.

His survivors include his five children Esther Mercado of Griswold, CT, Eugenio Perez, Jr. of Puerto Rico, Ana Rodriguez of New London, Maria Perez- Cotto of Norwich, Eugenio Alberto Perez of New London, ten grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, January 19 at the Byles Memorial Home, 99 Huntington St, New London.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be directed to the Center for Hospice Care, 227 Dunham St, Norwich, CT 06360.
