Old Fashioned 4th of July

Join in the fun as the Ledyard Historical Society celebrates Independence Day at the Nathan Lester House and Farm Tool Museum

Join in the fun Monday, July 4, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., as the Ledyard Historical Society celebrates Independence Day at the Nathan Lester House & Farm Tool Museum, built in 1793, located at the intersection of Long Cove and Vinegar Hill Roads at 153 Vinegar Hill Road, Gales Ferry, CT 06335.

Enjoy performances by Sisters in Song, American folk musician Rick Spencer, and colonial magician Joseph Potter. See historical reenactors and demonstrations of hearth cooking, butter churning, as well as hands-on colonial chores, and games for the kids. Tour the house and barns, enjoy croquet in the beautiful Great Oak Garden, and hike the trails.

Bring a picnic or purchase colonial recipe baked goods and hotdogs. $5 suggested donation for adults, children free.
