Pequot Woodlands Casino Opens At Foxwoods This Month
The new 50,000-square-foot space constitutes one of Foxwoods' most significant property updates in recent years.
LEDYARD, CT — Foxwoods Resort Casino announced it will open a new 50,000-square-foot casino Aug. 29. The Pequot Woodlands Casino will be located in the Grand Pequot Concourse.
It will feature over 430 new slot machines, a 40-seat slot bar named Truth Searcher, 24 table games, a new High Limit Slot room with 130 state-of-the-art machines, a public bar, and a casino cage.
“We are proud to open our Pequot Woodlands Casino, one of the most significant property updates we have made in recent years,” Jason Guyot, president & CEO of Foxwoods Resort Casino said in a statement. “This incredible achievement speaks volumes about Foxwoods’ growth and innovation over the past year, as we continue to focus on offering our guests world-class amenities. We are excited for our guests to experience this dynamic new gaming area, right in the heart of the resort.”

The casino "boasts an elevated, modern look that seamlessly incorporates Pequot-inspired designs and symbols, creating a unique forest-like atmosphere," according to the statement. The casino will include wood-wrapped pillars, cloud-like structures, and a custom-designed carpet that mimics light refracting through trees.
The new Gordon Ramsay restaurant, Hell's Kitchen, opened last month near the casino.

The opening of the Pequot Woodlands Casino comes as part of Foxwoods' expansion plans, including a new bingo hall and expo hall along with a location of the restaurant Wahlburgers.
In 2025, the Great Wolf Lodge is set to open. Construction on the $300-million, 549-room indoor water-park resort began earlier this year.
