Prescription Drug Take-Back Programs Near Ledyard This Weekend

National Prescription Drug Take-Back programs near Ledyard will take place on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the following locations:

• Groton Town Police Groton Senior Center Parking Lot, 52 Newtown Rd.
• Sub Base New London Security Department Commissary Building, 484 Building 484, Groton
• Troop E North Stonington Resident Troopers Office, Old Town Hall, Main Street, North Stonington
• Troop E Montville Resident Troopers Office, 89 Fort Shantock Rd., Montville
• Troop E Jewett City Resident Troopers Office, 39 Wedgewood Drive, Jewett City
  
  

The service is free and anonymous. Prescription and over-the-counter medications, patches, ointments, vitamins, sample medications and pet medications will be accepted at the prescription drug drop box.

The following will not be accepted at the drop box: lotions or liquids, aerosol cans, inhalers, hydrogen peroxide, thermometers, needles or other sharp objects and medication from businesses or clinics.
