Report: Avalonia To Buy Ledyard Land For Preservation
The Avalonia Land Conservancy is expected to buy two Long Cove Road properties for recreation and watershed protection, a report reads.

LEDYARD, CT — The Avalonia Land Conservancy is expected to buy Long Cove Road properties for recreation and watershed protection, the Day reports.
The two sites, known as the Atkinson and Dirlam properties include five miles of trails.
The sites contain wetlands and vernal pools. The purchase is slated to be completed before the end of the year, according to Avalonia Land Conservancy's Board of Directors cited in the report.
