School Groundbreaking Ceremony in Ledyard to Celebrate Expansions, Renovations
Ledyard Public Schools will host a groundbreaking ceremony at Gallup Hill School to celebrate its recent expansion and renovation projects.
LEDYARD, CT - Ledyard Public Schools will host a groundbreaking ceremony at Gallup Hill School this week. District officials said the event is meant to celebrate recent expansion and renovation projects for the school.
The ceremony at will be held Wednesday at Gallup Hill School, according to a release. The event begins at 9:30 a.m. and will feature a brief program and a ceremonial “shoveling.” (To sign up for Ledyard breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
The ceremony will take place inside due to recent weather forecasts. A similar event was held Friday at Ledyard Middle School.

Among a number of local dignitaries, students will also be participating in the event. O&G Industries provided t-shirts and plastic hardhats for the entire student body.
