'Security Incident' Prompts Police Chief's Flock Camera Recommendation In Ledyard

LEDYARD, CT — Police are recommending stopping the use of Flock automated license plate readers following a "security incident," according to NBC CT.

Flock informed police officials that a malicious actor published a website with customer device information. This included device names, location and device types, NBC CT reported.

Ledyard Police Chief Ken Creutz said that he had "serious concerns about privacy, security and transparency." He recommended to the town's mayor to cease using Flock cameras.
