Sprigs & Twigs, Inc., a leading landscape design, lawn care and tree service provider in southeastern Connecticut, today made a donation to the team of marathon runners working to raise over $1M to benefit the American Liver Foundation’s New England Chapter and its mission to facilitate, advocate and promote education, support and research for the prevention, treatment and cure of liver disease.
The American Liver Foundation funds research that has launched the careers of more than 700 scientists in the field of liver health in hopes of finding treatments and cures that will lead to a world free of liver disease. It is the leading source of information on liver health and liver disease, through printed materials, a toll-free national Helpline, 16 division offices, and their website, www.liverfoundation.org. for patients, families and the general public.

Liver disease directly touches the lives of more than 30 million Americans, more than the entire population of the 15 largest U.S. cities. Nearly 100 liver diseases affect men, women and children of every age and ethnicity and every social and economic background. Many liver diseases are on the rise, yet some are preventable or reversible through diet and exercise. Therefore, funding to support efforts to raise awareness and provide education is critical.
